Invisalign: The Modern Approach To Braces

I remember my sister having to get braces when she was in high school.  All the wires and metal in her mouth, made her very self conscious of her smile. I vividly remember the day she came home from the orthodontist with her braces , she was in a lot of pain.  She was teased and called names like "metal mouth" and "brace face".  She could not eat certain foods because of the braces. And chewing gum was completely out of the picture for her.  Brushing and flossing was a chore for her with all the metal and wires in her mouth.  She wanted a beautiful smile, so she endured the pain from the braces and the name calling from her peers.

With the modern advances in orthodontia, Invisalign and Invisalign Teen are becoming more and more popular.  The system uses a series of clear aligners made of lightweight plastic that sit comfortably on the teeth and are just as effective as traditional braces, without all the wires and brackets.  The aligners are removable, so brushing and flossing can be done with ease. You can smile with confidence, because the aligners are virtually invisible. Your smile is the first thing people look at, and having a beautiful, straight teeth makes you more self confident. The cost of this treatment is about the same as traditional braces. There are fewer office visits, shorter appointment times, and no emergency visits for broken wires or brackets.

After reading all the information about Invisalign , they work as well as traditional braces. You can see for yourself by reading How Invisalign Works.  Through modern technology, adults and teens can have beautiful, straight teeth without the pain.  I was recently told that my son would  eventually need braces and I am happy to know that Invisalign is an alternative for him.  After checking out the Invisalign Doctor Locator, I was pleased to find that that there is a doctor right here in my hometown.

Be sure and check out Invisalign on their website,  Facebook,  and Twitter.
