Thanksgiving with Butterball

I have so many memories of Thanksgiving.  Like the time the pressure cooker blew up in my Grandmother's kitchen or the time the glass baking dish burst in the oven.  Here is my favorite memory:  Someone put red food coloring in the gravy by mistake.  Have no fear the turkey was not damaged in any of these incidents.

Butterball is the brand that has been on my Thanksgiving table for many years.  And it will be this year, too.  I have so many fond memories of my entire family at Thanksgiving.  The food, the fellowship, the naps, it was all fun.  I plan on making it the same this year.  Butterball was kind enough to send me a gift check so I could purchase a turkey and two to giveaway!  Who wants to win?

  12. One year we visited a friend who was in college. She invited over everyone she knew who couldn't go home for the holiday, as well as her family and us. It was such a wonderful afternoon/evening of meeting new people and sharing food, stories and laughter.

My fondest Thanksgiving memories were spent with my grandparents. My grandma was an excellent cook but what I remember most is her mincemeat pie. Oh, it was delicious. Every Thanksgiving as I am preparing Thanksgiving dinner, I think about Grandma and that mincemeat pie and wish I could experience that just one more time.
