Win a Schwinn Bicycle

One of my lucky readers is going to win a Schwinn bike!  I am so excited to host this giveaway.  I received this Schwinn Women's Gateway 28 inch bike in cream.  I love that I can go bike riding with my kids now. The Gateway is a bike of many talents. During the week it is a practical choice with 7 speeds, a rear carrier, alloy rims and brakes. Yet on weekends it has style and comfort with a spring seat, swept back handle bars, stylish paint and handsome fenders. Take a ride out for breakfast with friends or use it on a hilly campus. Classic style will take you where you want to go.

I really like the rear carrier. This bike reminds of days gone by when I rode my bike to school and put my books on the rear carrier. It rides like a dream.

  73. My older sister had a gorgeous red Schwinn 10 speed bicycle and I asked for a blue one for Christmas. I was desperately trying not to show my disappointment when I saw a green 3 speed bike with a large red bow on it under the tree Christmas morning. Apparently my dad put it together for me with some difficulty the night before. It was not a Schwinn, but some foreign bike. This was not my favorite memory, but rather my most memorable one. We had a very steep driveway that wound around our house and I took my bike out in the freezing weather. As I came down the steepest portion of the driveway, the bike separated leaving me on the seat peddling furiously, but the handle bars with the hand brakes went off in a completely different direction, causing me to flip over the now non-existent handlebars and hand brakes. Luckily I landed in the somewhat soft grass instead of the cement driveway. My dad had the two pieces sautered back together and I rode it for the rest of my childhood with no more mishaps. After all it is the thought that counts and just the fact that my dad put it together meant so much to me since he travelled 6 days a week every week.
