Get your kids off of the computer and out for some fun in the sun with these toys from Goliath!

I received these products from the wonderful people at Goliath to include in my summer reviews.  Kids these days are addicted to computers and cell phones.  They spend the majority of their time staring into a screen, even when they are outside.  So I am always looking for fun activities to get my kids away from the screen and into some family fun.  Using these products is a great way to accomplish that!

The Rocket Fishing Rod is a real functioning fishing rod.  You can actually use it to catch real fish.  Most kids have trouble casting their fishing lines out into the water.  And because of this, Dad and Mom spend most of their time casting and recasting for them.  But this rod solves that problem.  It is built like a toy rocket launching gun.  It will cast the fishing line up to 25 feet!  And it's so easy!  Just pump it and then shoot it to launch the end of your line out into the water.  It has a safety bobber that keeps the hook enclosed until it hits the water.  So there is no danger of your child getting poked by the hook.  And it practically eliminates snarls and snags in the line.  Once the bobber hits the water, it opens up and drops the hook down into the water.  When a fish bites, just real it in!  That's all there is to it!  In addition to the rod and safety bobber, it comes with 2 hooks, 150 feet of 8 pound test fishing line, 2 line stops, 1 weight and complete instructions.  It is sturdy and durable.  It is recommended for children age 8 and over and has a suggested retail price of $39.99.  It is available at Walmart and Amazon.

It is recommended for children age 8 and over and has a suggested retail price of $17.99.  It is available at Walmart and on Amazon.

Next we have the Zoom Ball, which is fast paced and tons of fun.  It is an oblong shaped ball, like a football.  It has two long strings threaded through it and there are two handles on each end of the string.  One person holds the handles on one end and another holds the handles on the other end.  Then you spread your arms and pull on the handles to maneuver the ball back and forth on the strings.  It takes a bit of practice to learn how to keep the ball moving back and forth on the strings.  But that's part of the fun!  See how long you can keep it going!  Zoom Ball is recommended for ages 8 and over and you need two people to play.  The suggested retail price is $14.99 and it is available on Amazon.

This is the Zoom Ball Hydro.  It's basically played the same as the Zoom Ball, the major difference is that the Zoom Ball Hydro adds water into the fun.  The Hydro ball opens up so you can put a water balloon inside.  Once it is closed again, play it the same as the Zoom Ball.  You never know when the water balloon with burst and send water splashing all over you!  It comes with the Zoom Ball Hydro and 10 water balloons.  It's a perfect game for a hot summer day.  It is recommended for ages 8 and over and requires two people to play.  The suggested retail price is $17.99 and it is available on Amazon. 

This unusual toy is the Phlat Ball V3.  As it says on the package:  "Throw a disc, catch a ball".  This unique toy flattens out into a disc that you can throw and then pops back into a ball in midair!  Just set the time delay on it by squeezing it down, then toss it and watch it transform back into a ball.  It's easy to take it along with you, just flatten it and slip it into your bag.  It is available in several different colors, so you can choose your favorite.  You can play with it alone, or in a group.  It is recommended for ages 5 and over.  It has a suggested retail price of $16.99 and is available at Target and on Amazon.
