They are ideal for water adventures when out of cell phone range. Two-way radios are important for communication and safety. These feature NOAA weather updates and alerts and the T600 H20 is completely WATERPROOF and FLOATS, so no need to worry if it accidentally falls off the boat when dad is fishing. It also comes equipped with a handy water-activated flashlight, which includes a white and red LED (to preserve night vision.). These are perfect for fishing, hiking, camping and the weekend trip to the cabin.
They float! Yes, they do. If dropped in water, they float facing up. I hope to not ever have to use this feature, but thank goodness it does float.
Living near the coast, we visit the beach a LOT! At night we can use the red LED light as a flashlight as we go out on the beach. Our entire coastline in Georgia has sea turtles(terrapins) laying egg sin the sand and all the beaches require you to use a red light, as not to disturb them, as they are a protected species. These radios come equipped with a bright LED flashlight, too.
Living in Georgia, we are also prone to hurricanes. Having this eet of radios will be great during a power outage or hurricane emergency. They are equipped with NOAA wether alerts and updates.
You can take them with you anywhere you go. They have a 35 mile range. I have not tested it that far, but I did get a 5 mile range and the sound was very clear.
My favorite feature about this set of two way radios are the fact that they are rechargeable! They come with an included cord for charging two at a time.
