ReplyDeleteI can still remember going with my mom to the Village Inn restaurant to get coconut cream pie and coffee with my precious mom, it was our last Mother's Day together as I was moving from my home state of Iowa to Arizona and we didn't get together very often after that. She passed on 10 years ago and I miss her so very much!!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite mom's day moment is when my baby was about 5. They made me breakfast and it was awful! They put all sort of odd things in the scrambled eggs! When my kiddo went to get me water, I flushed it down the toilet! lol
ReplyDeleteMy first mother's day was spent in the NICU at the hospital. My daughter had already been there for a month(she was 3 months premature). I remember going in to see her, and the nurses had taken a picture of her and wrote "Happy Mother's Day" on it. It was my first photo of her.
ReplyDeleteI had lots of great memories with my mom. She was my best friend. RIP

I always cook for my mom on mother's day. It's always something new that I've never tried before and she's never eaten before. It's fun. My best memory of that is the year I almost burnt the kitchen because I spilled oil on the fire. It wasn't funny at the time, but in hindsight it was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI loved the beautiful flowers I received and still do always with a special picture frame with the kids picture in them.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have any great memories of Mother's Day; though being born on the 'holiday' no great memories come to mind. Hoping to have some better ones with my mother in law, though!
ReplyDeleteI loved how my mother always wanted to go camping for Mother's Day! I have so many memories of our favorite campsite where my brother and I would collect items from the woods to put together a bouquet, and we each got to create campfire meals while my mom just walked, read, napped, hung out by the fire. We camped all seasons, but those Mother's Day trips really drilled into me the best things are so simple!
ReplyDeleteA great memory of going out to the beach and having lunch by the beach while talking about our goals in life.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory would be the first mother's day I had with both of my children, they weren't old enough to give me gifts but just the fact that they were here made it such a great day.
ReplyDeleteOne of my most memorable mother’s days was when I was a little girl and my first communion fell on Mother’s Day and we had a huge celebration with all of our family and friends and it was one of my mom’s best days and she still talks about it.
ReplyDeleteEvery Mother's Day you get with your Mom is an awesome memory.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I don't have a fond memory of Mother's Day with my mother. She passed when I was young. But my fondest memory of Mother's Day was celebrating with a good meal and cake and family with my oldest daughter on her first Mother's Day.
