This cute vase is made out of pencils and would be a perfect addition for any
office. It would also make an excellent gift for a school teacher!
Materials Needed:
- Glass Cylinder Vase
- 2 Packages of Pencils, unsharpened
- Glue Gun
- Ribbon, if desired
Directions:
- Wash and dry your pencils.
- Using a clean, dry rag, quickly dust off your pencils so they will stick to the vase better.
- Put two dots of glue on your pencil and place it on the vase with the eraser side up. Be sure to place it straight, as this will be your guide for the rest of the vase.
- Using two dots of glue on each pencil, place the rest of the pencils around the entire vase.
- If you do not have enough room for the last pencil, use a piece of sandpaper or a pocket knife to shave off a bit of the pencil on each side until it fits in the space available.
- Add a thick rim of glue around the inside of the erasers at the top for extra strength.
- Glue a thick rim on the bottom of the pencils to prevent scratching and lead marks.
- Let dry and add a ribbon, if desired.
- Place flowers in your vase and gift away!
This is a great DIY for you to make for your kids, They will enjoy this play dough for all your St. Patrick's Day fun!

Shamrock Green Playdough
Items needed:
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
3 cups Water
¾ cup Salt
¼ cup Vegetable Oil
6 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
50 drops Food Coloring
Wax Paper
Lay out a large sheet of wax paper, set aside. In a large heavy pot and over medium heat, combine flour, water, salt, vegetable oil and cream of tartar. Once everything is blended together, add food coloring. Stir constantly until dough pulls away from the sides of the pan and forms a firm ball in the center. Remove from pan and place on wax paper. Knead to get the flour lumps out. Pick out the larger flour lumps with your fingers and continue to knead until smooth. Store in an airtight container.
This is the easiest craft I have ever done in my life and it was so much fun. Here are the materials needed to make these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Christmas ornaments:
- Green glass ornaments
- Purple, orange, red, and blue ribbon (I used 5/8 inch wide ribbon)
- Wiggle eyes
- Glue
Instructions:
Cut ribbon to fit the size ornament you have. Put glue along the entire length of ribbon and place it firmly around the ornament. Glue the wiggly eyes on the ribbon. Repeat using the different colors of ribbon. I let mine dry overnight and they are ready to hang on your tree.
You can find all these materials at your local craft store. I bought all materials brand new and it cost me less than $15 for 18 ornaments, 4 spools of ribbon, wiggly eyes and glue. This will make for a cute Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed tree or just to hang with your other ornaments on your tree.
