A Gift For Him That Says It All... And A Little More

For hundreds of years, women everywhere have to struggle with a common goal. Unfortunately, unification isn’t the solution, as everyone’s challenge is a different one. Likewise, study and research won’t go very far, thanks to the troubling nature of the issue. Buying a gift for your other half. It seems so simple, yet the task is one a lot of ladies come to dread. Thankfully, though, this post is here to help you out. Along with this, it will also be showing you some ways you can drop some hints in the process.

-For The Discrete

- Hygiene/Grooming

Living with someone who has a beard you don’t like, doesn’t use the right grooming products, or fails to apply the right amount of effort to their routine can be very frustrating. Of course, though, you can’t simply tell someone that they need to improve this part of their life. Instead, you have to find a way to drop a hint in a subtle way, saving anyone getting their feelings hurt. Birthdays and other gift-giving occasions are the perfect chance to do this. Websites like ManlyMatters can help you to find the right sort of products for this work. Along with this, though, it could be worth trying to find out what your other half already likes.

  • Gift Vouchers

Buying someone a grooming tool isn’t always the best way to go with your gift. You might want to give them more choice, while still retaining a little bit of control. If your man isn’t donning threads which meet your high standards, a gift voucher could be the perfect option for you. Giving you the chance to choose the store they can be used at, this sort of product is great for those who want to lock their loved one into a particular brand or store. You can have a surprising amount of control this way. Of course, though, you should make sure that you’re giving them access to options they will like. No one will want to wear clothing they don’t like, even if most people would think they look better.

  • A Less-Than-Subtle Hint

Sometimes, the best way to drop a hint is through direct action. It can be very frustrating to see someone struggling to motivate themselves to get into a hobby or interest. With your gift, though, you could kickstart this for them by getting them something they can use. Alternatively, if you’d like them to smell nicer or use different products, you could simply buy them the items you like. Along with a gift like this, you should also give something you know they’ll love. This will make the hint a lot easier to take, and you’ll also get to experience the fun of giving them two gifts instead of one.

Hopefully, this post will give you a good idea of the different ways you can drop a hint when you’re giving a gift to the man in your life. This job can often be very hard. But, by considering the areas you think they could improve, you can come up with some very thoughtful gifts.

How You Can Help End ALS

A few years ago everybody was doing the Ice Bucket Challenge to bring awareness and funding to ALS, also know as Lou Gehrig's disease. I recently watched about a documentary about ALS and I was astounded by how quickly this disease takes over your body.  I am partnering with Linqia to help raise funds and awareness for ALS.  I have received no compensation for this post.  I just want my readers to be aware and hopefully share this post.
Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder. Each case is different, and the community of people with ALS and the care providers involved with ALS TDI share their experiences to help those newly diagnosed and their families. Advancements in ALS research have provided significant new insights into ALS, how to stratify those diagnosed, and develop effective treatments and cures.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, Charcot's disease, and motor neuron disease (MND), attacks certain cells in the brain and spinal cord needed to keep our muscles moving. Early signs and symptoms of ALS include:
  • muscle cramps and muscle twitching
  • weakness in hands, legs, feet or ankles
  • difficulty speaking or swallowing
When Sarah Coglianese was diagnosed with ALS, she was 33; her daughter Scarlett was just two years old. While Scarlett was learning to take her first steps, Sarah was beginning to use a walker—then, a wheelchair.

Sarah writes: “At first, I was drowning in all my inability, in all the ways I thought I would fail her as a mom. Then something unexpected started to happen. The things I couldn't do for her, she started to do for herself. When she was 2, she dressed herself. By age 3, she was opening doors for me and helping with groceries. At 4, she could make a quiche, and these days she folds laundry and cleans her room with only the slightest bit of prodding. Sometimes, she gets a broom and a dustpan and starts sweeping the floor without being asked. If my foot slips off my footrest, she nonchalantly walks over and plops it back in place.

In 2015, Sarah launched #WhatWouldYouGive, a national campaign that challenges healthy people to give up an ability (e.g. voices, arms, hands, legs), to understand what life with ALS might be like and raise awareness and funding for ALS research. Sarah’s experience with ALS and her journey through motherhood leads her to believe that her disease will ultimately make her daughter stronger, braver, loving and empathetic—something we all hope for our children.

Fun for the Kids with My Town:Farm

This is a sponsored post.

I told you about My Town: Pets last week.  I have some GREAT news for you.  I am going to tell you about MyTown:Farm.  I like this app for kids because it has NO ADS!  Can you say hooray?

I enjoyed playing this before I handed it off to my son.  It has all kinds of adventures for your child on the farm.   Cows moo, roosters crow and hens lay eggs in the barn.  There are many scenes in this app for your child to enjoy.

You can go inside the farm house or in the garden.  I was most impressed with the leaf blower.  It sounded just like a LEAF BLOWER.

There are so many things you can do with My Town: Farm! In the farmhouse you have a  living room and kitchen, you can go upstairs or downstairs and each room has its own interactive things going on.

I like how everything is laid out perfectly in this app.  You can see the arrows of the room or place you want to go next.  I think that is very helpful for any child(and apparently any adult) to have.  I love apps that any child can play and figure out how to play what is being shown.

Not only will this keep your child entertained, but it is a learning experience ,too. that is a big plus in my book.  Hurry now to the Google Play Store, AmazonItunes and download yours now.  You  kids will enjoy it.  And NO ADS to worry about!

Storage Solutions for your home

I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

You can never have enough storage in your home!   I am always buying more baskets and bins to store toys, towels, and just everyday items.   I found a solution to my storage problems.  The Songmics 3 Tier Cube Organizer is the answer.

The storage organizer comes ready to assemble. Even a novice DIY person like myself had no problems putting it together.  It was easy to put together and the directions were clear and concise.   It even had extra parts!  I thought that was great, in case something goes awry, you have extra.

You can build the unit to include all tiers and cubbyholes or you can configure the design to suit your needs.  We all need more storage, so I decided to use all 9 cubes.

Now, I have storage for the things I need.  And, it looks cool too.  What do you think?

I really like that I have the panels for this storage unit.  You can  close them or you can take the panel off This is great, especially if you have things you would like to display.  I have had this unit for about two months and it has held together very well.  I have had many compliments on it , as it is very stylish.

I think this storage unit would be great for any household or apartment.  If you are looking for a  storage solution  for your home, check out the Songmics 3 Tier Cube Organizer.

My vacuum sucks!  You know why?  Because I have the  BEST vacuum on this earth!

The Shark® APEX DuoClean Powered Lift-Away®Vacuum  amazed me the first time I used  it.  I was going to vacuum my floor real quick to see how it worked.  Boy, was I surprised at how dirty my carpet was.  This baby really sucks up dirt I did not know I had.  This only made me want to vacuum my whole house.  When I was done, it looked as though my carpets had been cleaned!   I thought my daily vacuuming with another brand was cleaning my floors until I got this Shark.  IT SUCKS!  And I mean it sucks all the dirt out of your carpets and floors.  Talk about a clean sweep,  the   Shark® APEX DuoClean Powered Lift-Away®Vacuum cleans like no other.  The suction power is better than any brand I have tried in my life. And,I have have tried quite a few.

Wait, this vacuum does more than just vacuum your floors. It has a deep cleaning motorized pet tool, an anti-allergen dusting brush, pet multi-tool, duster crevice tool, and comes with an accessory bag.  It has a 7 YEAR WARRANTY!   What more could you ask for in a vacuum?

SKINCARE 101: BAD HABITS YOU NEED TO QUIT

sunblock-skincare-healthy-skin-heart-161608.jpeg

To get all scientifical for a second, your skin is your biggest and most exposed organ, which should be enough to convince you that taking care of it is pretty essential (read: of the utmost importance). However, way too many people fall short in the skin care arena. You would think taking care of your skin would be easy and revered, yet so many people a) don’t realize what they are doing is wrong or b) don’t even know what they need to be doing to their skin.

That is why we have pulled together what experts are calling The Ultimate Skincare Guide. Okay, so that’s not exactly true, but these top tips on how to look after your epidermis are.

Baz Luhrmann Was Right: Wear Sunscreen
How many times do you need to hear people tell you to wear sunscreen before it will eventually sink in? The sun is great, don’t get us wrong, but too much of a good thing can be bad, which is why you need to be generous with the amount of sunscreen you wear. If you don’t, well, you are playing a pretty dicey game where the jackpot prize will either be skin cancer, actinic keratosis, hyperpigmentation and skin so leathery it sags.

Your Deodorant Is Making Your Skin Irritable

News flash: not all deodorant is born equal. We know this may be a hard pill to swallow, but if you are using just any old deodorant then you may well be using a deodorant that harbors aluminum. Stop doing this right away and go get yourself the best aluminum free deodorant money can by. Why? Simple. Aluminium has been linked to some pretty severe conditions, like breast cancer, bone disorders, kidney issues and even Alzheimer's. Point made.

Why Are You Still Sleeping In Your Makeup?
It doesn’t matter how tired you are, how many glasses of wine you sipped on what time it is when you finally get back from work, it is not okay to sleep in your makeup. Even if it is that nice mineral makeup the lady over the counter sold you. While you are catching up on your sleep, your skin needs to be breathing in air and releasing toxins, which it can’t-do when covered in makeup. So, before your eyes close for the night, grab a wipe and cleanse well.

Moisturizing Really Does Matter
It doesn’t matter where you live, your skin will find a way to dry out if possible, which is bad. It is also why your skin needs humectants, which it can find quite hard to get naturally a lot of the time. If the air outside is dry, then you are in trouble. If you use air conditioning inside, then you are in trouble. If you use the heaters in your car, then you are in trouble. That is why you need to make sure you are
always moisturizing. It doesn’t matter whether you have oily skin or what doctors would call “normal skin”, moisturizer will help keep your skin in balance.

I purchased a family-sized  jar of RAGÚ Cheese Creations Classic Alfredo Pasta Sauce during a recent shopping trip at Publix.   I easily found it on the aisle with the pasta sauces, right next to all my favorite RAGÚ varieties.  RAGÚ Classic Alfredo is a thick, creamy Alfredo sauce that’s packed with Parmesan and Romano cheeses. It is made with real cheese and fresh cream so it is bursting with flavor. It is great on a variety of dishes including Chicken Alfredo.

I decided to make this yummy Baked Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo.  It is a simple recipe using ingredients I know my family loves and I hope yours does, too.

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
10 ounce bag  frozen broccoli
21.5 ounce jar of  RAGÚ Cheese Creations Classic Alfredo Pasta Sauce
2 cups of grated Italian Blend Cheese.

Instructions
Start by laying  the chicken thighs in a  2 1/2 quart casserole dish.  Salt and pepper to the chicken to your taste.  Put the bag of  frozen broccoli on top of the chicken making sure to separate each piece.  Pour the entire jar of RAGÚ Cheese Creations Classic Alfredo Pasta Sauce over the top, making sure to cover to chicken and broccoli.  Sprinkle the cheese on top. Put in a 350 degree oven for an hour, until cheese is melted and is golden on top.   Let  cool 10 minutes before serving.

I hope you have enjoyed this recipe!  Make sure to check out the BOGO Event at Publix and purchase the 21.5 ounce family size jars RAGÚ Cheese Creations Classic Alfredo Pasta Sauce !
