These games would be great additions to your family game night

Looney Labs has provided me with these games in exchange for an honest review.  They are all very fun games and would be perfect for family game night.

This game is called Choose One.  It's a 3-10 player game and is recommended for ages 14 and up.  To play this game, Player one chooses a topic card from his hand and shows it to the rest of the players.  There are two options on each topic card (one highlighted in blue, one highlighted in white) and each player tries to figure out which option player one will pick.  Each player (including player one) places either their blue or white choice card face down to show which one they thing the first player will choose.  Player one's choice card will indicate which one he is choosing.  Once everyone has laid out their choice card, you flip them all over to see if anyone guessed correctly.  If no one guessed correctly, player one gets 2 points.  If some of the players get it right, but not all, then player one and those who guessed correctly each gets 1 point.  If everyone guessed correctly, no one gets a point.  mark the scores accordingly and the next player gets to choose the topic card.  The game is won when some one reaches 11 points.  This is a fun game.  It retails for $20 and can be purchased HERE

This is Time Breaker.  With this card game you get to chase a Chrono-Criminal across time.  The Time Breaker is jumping from on time tile to another reaping havoc everywhere he goes.  You must capture him and return with him to Time Repair HQ before your opponents catch up or the Time Breaker slips aways.  This is a 2-5 player game recommended for ages 8-Adult.  The manufacturers retial price is $25 and you can purchase it HERE .

And finally we have Chrononauts.  This is a card game for 1-6 players age 11-adult.  In this game you are a Time Traveler with a secret mission, secret identity and an assignment to fix time paradoxes.  You need to gather the rare artifacts listed on your mission card.  Or you can adjust history in the three ways  needed for you to return to the alternate reality from which you originally came.  The changes in history are tracked by a layout of 32 cards called the TimeLine.  This is a fast paced, fun game.  The manufaturer retail price is $20 and you can purchase it HERE.

Snap Swaps, collect them all!

Kristen, the Co-Creator of Snap Swaps, has kindly provided me with an assortment of Snap Swaps for review.  She has also been a wealth of information about the evolution of this product.  This is Kristen with her fiance Shaun.

Kristen came up with the idea for Snap Swaps after noticing the way children were focused on computers, cell phones and tablets instead of interacting with each other and enjoying the world.  She wanted to come up with something that would get kids out of the digital world and back into the real one.  What she came up with, with the help of her husband, was Snap Swaps.

Snap Swaps are little links that can be connected together to form bracelets or necklaces.  Each one has a fun face painted on it.  Kids can trade links with other kids, or just admire each other's collection.  They encourage kids to interact with each other.  But they didn't develop these adorable links over night.  For about a year and a half, Shaun would work 10 hours per day at his shipping and receiving job, then go home and work on the links for about 4 hours each night.  He was slowly working out how to connect the links and the design for them.  They wanted the links to snap together and keep the bracelet securely fastened, but they also wanted them to challenge the kids so they would have to work at the snaps to master them.

This a the first rough prototype that Shaun made our of wood. This design would grow and evolve many times.  Eventually, he would sculpted the first working piece out of sculpting clay, and used it to create a silicone mold.  Then he cast it with fiberglass resin to create the first Snap Swaps and had them hand painted by a locol nail artist named Casandra Bartrum.

The picture above shows the first working hand painted pieces.  During this time, Kristen was taking classes and learning how to handle the business end of their venture.

Snap Swaps was intended to encourage kids to interact with each other in order to compare their own with others' or make trades.  The main goal being to get the kids away from computer or phone screen.  But there has been other surprising uses found for them as well.  They have heard from child psychologists telling them that they are using Snap Swaps with their patients as feeling checks.  And they've also learned that some pediatric nurses are using them to communicate to some extent with children who find it difficult to communicate.  I think that is amazing!

The 3 photos above are some of the prototypes for future lines that they are working on.  I really like the dolphin one.   As for my own 3 children, they love Snap Swaps!  They've divided the samples I received among themselves and use them as a barter system with each other.  They are showing them to their friends and telling them where to buy them so they can start trading with them.

Snap Swaps are suggested for ages 5 and up.  You can purchase them from their website https://snapitswapit.com/ .

Awesome T-Shirts From TeeTurtle

I received these t-shirts from TeeTurtle in exchange for an honest review.  The shirts range in price from $12-$24 and you can purchase them on their site:  https://www.teeturtle.com/

The artwork on these shirts is amazing.  They feature cute little animals like the hedgehog, panda, cat, unicorn and many others.  But it is the quotes that makes these shirts so special.  They are full of attitude and sarcasm.  The artwork is beautifully applied to the shirt and looks as if it will be very durable.

Each shirt is made from 100% super soft ringspun cotton.  My children said they are incredibly comfortable to wear.  Everywhere they went people were commenting on their shirts.  They all wanted to know where to buy one.

Some of the shirts, like the one above, even glows in the dark!  My daughter was thrilled when she found out that her new shirt glows.  She left it draped over a chair under the light all evening so it would "charge".  She just couldn't wait to test it in the dark.   She thought it was so cool.   And all of her friends wanted one when they saw it!

Designer RamyB founded TeeTurtle in 2012.  Their goal since then has been to provide the best possible shopping experience for the customer.  Their staff is very friendly and helpful.  And there is always a real person available if you need to call them.  They add new designs to their site every week, so you will find yourself going back to their site again and again.  And they have so many cool designs that it is hard to choose just one.  So be prepared to buy several or them!

The have other products as well, such as enamel pins, stuffed toys and several games.  Make sure to check out their site!
