How to find the best lawyer

Usually if you need a lawyer, you need one quick.  So, where do you look for a lawyer?

You can ask friends and family for suggestions.  I have found this is the most reliable method to obtaining the right lawyer for you.  But, if it is a private matter you wish to NOT discuss with family and friends, there are other ways to find a lawyer.

Google

I would use Google to find a lawyer.  I would search for they type of lawyer I needed, (family law, DUI, Personal Injury, etc.) and a location.  Now, I know locally might not bring a lot of sear results, so you can use the next largest city to where you live and go from there.  Be sure and check out the Google reviews people have left, so you can make an informed decision. You can search Lawyers of Distinction, too. You can find out a lot about an attorney.

Facebook

We are now in the digital age, so a lot of law firms and private attorneys have Facebook pages.  Again, make sure to find the right lawyer for your needs.  Type in the search bar the keywords lawyer and family law, if that is what you need.  You may need a DUI lawyer, so make sure to refine your search accordingly. Lawyers of Distinction is always a god place to look and find out more information about a lawyer.

Library

Go to the library and research.  Again, you will have to look through journals or magazines related tot he legal world, and look for the type of lawyer you  need.  There will be a plethora of information.

When you find the lawyer you need, call and set up an appointment.  Some attorneys take walk in clients, but I would most definitely call ahead to make sure I could s be seen before taking that route.
Some lawyers will give you a free consultation.  That is a great things, too.  You may find out that this lawyer will not be able to handle your case or maybe you just don't mesh with him/her well.  You can always check out another lawyer.

Some lawyers charge a consultation fee.  Usually, it is a small fee.  Make sure you ask when you make the appointment.   Usually a lawyer will let the consultation fee be taken off the retainer fee, if you choose to retain.  Make sure to discuss all options before you retain an attorney.  You want the best lawyer for the case you have, right? Make sure to do your research!

Get your kids outdoors and on a GoTrax Cadet Electric Scooter

What are your kids doing this Spring and Summer?  With warmer weather upon us, it's time to get outdoors and have fun!  I highly recommend the GOTRAX Cadet Electric  Scooter! It comes in a variety of colors. We chose this cool Alien Green color. It also comes in Mars Red, Neptune Blue, Planetary Purple and Pulsar Pink.

The Cadet came almost fully assembled, so putting the rest together took less than 15 minutes and was very easy to put together.  Connect the charger and let it charge.  I actually put it together and let it charge overnight, so we would be ready to ride the next day.

Making sure your scooter is fully charged, you gently kick off and engage the throttle on the right handlebar to get it going.  The 100W motor goes 11mph and you can ride for about 7 miles before you need to recharge.  The scooter has a mechanical hand brake just like a bicycle. This is the perfect scooter for kids with a weight capacity of up to 120 pounds.

I took the scooter to our downtown park, where we had plenty of room and plenty of even sidewalk to ride.  The kids had an amazing time riding the scooter.  I had others kids and their parents asking me about the GOTRAX Cadet  electric scooter,  Everyone wanted to know where they could get one.  Of course, I showed them the scooter on the  GOTRAX website

The scooter has proven to be so much fun for my kids!  No more playing video games or watching TV,  they are eager to get outdoors and ride the scooter. Right now you can purchase the scooter on the GOTRAX website for $149.  This is a great price for a high quality electric scooter.  If you look at the bottom left of this page, you can sign up to get an additional $40 off your GOTRAX Cadet Electric Scooter. bringing the price to $109.

This scooter has brought so much joy and fun for my kids.  Getting them outdoors is not a chore anymore.  They make sure the scooter is charged at night so they can ride the next day.  This is a product I highly recommend.

Make sure to follow GOTRAX on their social media to see all the wonderful products they have to offer.

Stay tuned for a giveaway going live on April 1, 2018.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Get your kids to eat more veggies? Yes, with a school grant from Action for Healthy Kids!

Parents can be a formidable force for change in schools, especially when it comes to starting health and wellness programs. Ensuring that our kids are eating healthier foods, learning about nutrition, and being more physically active in school not only sets them up to learn lifelong healthy habits but, according to a growing body of research, it helps them be better prepared to focus and learn in class. Studies also show when parents are involved in a child’s education, their children demonstrate higher academic achievement, better attendance, better social skills, better-eating habits, increased physical activity and less emotional distress.

Yet, despite wanting to do what’s best for students’ health, many schools lack the necessary resources to implement health and wellness practices that help students eat better and stay physically active. That’s why Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) has announced a new Parents for Healthy Kids grant just for parents for the 2018-2019 school year. The grants, which are provided through funding from ALDI, are designed for parents, caregivers and parent-groups (e.g. PTAs, PTOs) to lead school-based physical activity and nutrition initiatives and to engage more parents and family members in student and family health.

If you’ve ever thought of starting a school garden, getting kids to eat more fruits and veggies at school lunch, or finding ways to ensure they get more physical activity in and get the wiggles out during the school day so they can better focus in class, then this grant opportunity is for you. If you can think of a way to improve school and student health, AFHK can help you do it. In addition to providing schools with needed funding (grants up to $1,000), AFHK provides grantees with technical support and resources to activate their grants successfully.

Parents can learn more and apply for a grant by April 13, 2018 by visiting ParentsforHealthyKids.org/Grants. While you’re there, check out the resources to help you get involved in school health, and sign up to receive news your family can use to create a healthier school and home, today!
