Awesome Glow in the Dark outdoor Fun for the whole Family!

I received this product from Starlux Games for review.  They are bringing family outdoor fun back with a Glow in the Dark twist!  Children of all ages (yes, that includes adults!) will have a blast playing this game.  And it gets even better when the sun goes down thanks to the fact that it glows in the dark!

Capture the Flag Redux is recommended for 4-20 players age 8-65+!  The suggested retail price is $49.90 and the batteries are included!  It’s the new way to play Capture the Flag: with glow in the dark lights!  Award winning and active, all ages play together in this unique group game.

The outdoor game Capture the Flag began 70+ years ago where teams sneak into their opponents’ territory and try to steal their flag.  Now it’s been adapted for today’s generation – using glow in the dark lights!  The kit’s 25 reusable light up game pieces allow for up to 10 traditional Capture the Flag players.  It also includes 12 alternate ways to play, allowing for 4-20 players.

This game comes with 10 LED Glow Bracelets, 8 Jail Markers, 5 Territory Lights, 2 Orbs (to use as the "flag"), 12 Game Variations and (I know I already mentioned this, but it's worth mentioning again) BATTERIES ARE INCLUDED...AND REPLACEABLE!

Even though there is a specified age range to play this game, it really doesn't matter!  If you can run, you can play! The most common ages of players are 8-14 but as long as the player is able to understand the rules, and able to run, age doesn't matter.  Multiple ages can play together.  Parents and grandparents have been known to play with their children and grandchildren. It also works great for birthdays, family reunions, camps and icebreakers!  So get this game for yourself and your family.  You'll be glad you did because it will be a big hit with everyone!

Time for an Easter Game Night!

I was given these games from What Do You Meme? for review.

What Do You Meme? Family Edition ($19.99):  The hilarious game that you know and love now has all of the R rated content removed for family friendly fun!  Now you can compete with your friends and family, even the younger ones (recommended for ages 8+), to create the funniest memes.  Do this by using one of your dealt caption cards to caption the photo card in each round.  The winner of each round is decided by a rotating judge, so it's a good idea to try to pick your caption card to match the current judge's sense of humor.  If you don't want to know which player used which caption card was played by which player, make sure the judge shuffles the cards before reading them.  Each What Do You Meme? Family Edition game contains 300 caption cards and 65 photo cards.

Can You Roll Doubles ($19.99):  This is a fast paced and fun, family friendly game.  It was designed for ages 12+ and the content is completely customizable so it's perfect to play with the whole family.  This is the rapid fire, high pressure game where players compete to fill out as many words as possible on the category sheet before their opponents can roll doubles and steal the board!  To start the game, spin the spinner to choose a letter for each board.  Players must use this letter to fill in the category sheet, which rotates through the group during high pressure game play.  One player in the group begins each round by trying to create as many answers as possible on the category sheet that begins with the letter chosen for that round.  While they do this, the person to their left attempts to roll doubles with two dice.  Once doubles are rolled, that player can steal the category sheet and begins trying to create as many words as possible as the player on their left tries to roll doubles...and so on.  Each player uses a different color pen so it can be easily determined who added which word.  The round continues until the category sheet has been completely filled in.  The winner is the player who added the most words to the sheet during that round.  Each Can You Roll Doubles game comes with 2 game boards, 6 category sheets, 100 write in sheets, 4 dice, 8 multicolored pens, 1 score sheet and instructions.

Party Bowl ($16.99):  This is a perfect game for a family game night, game night with friends and gatherings of all kinds.  It was designed for ages 12+ to be as risque (or not) as you like.  The game is played in 3 rounds, with 2 teams and 1 Party Bowl.  You use prompt cards to come up with a bunch of words or phrases to throw in the Party Bowl.  Two teams then compets to out guess each other in three increasingly high pressure rounds of fun.  In round 1, players draw a piece of paper and describe the word on it (without actually saying it) while their teammates try to guess what it is.  Then all of the words get thrown back in the bowl and teams compets in the second, more challenging round where the same words are drawn.  But this time players may only use one word to describe each word to their team.  In the final round, there's no speaking.  It's charades only.  Each Party Bowl game includes 1 custom Party Bowl, 90 Prompt Cards, 200 write in sheets, 1 super high tech 60 second sand timer and 6 pencils.

4-Bidden Words ($24.97):  is a game for adults (ages 17+) only.  It is NOT intended for children.  To play, set the timer and test your guessing skills as you compete to out guess the other team while your teammates shout clues to help you guess the Buzz Words.  Just don't say any of the four "4-Bidden" words on the card or you'll lose points!  Each 4-Bidden Words game contains 600 Buzz Words, 2400 4-Bidden Words, 8 penalty chips and a super high tech sand timer.

These are perfect games for a family game night.

I received these products from Bicycle for review.  If your family is like mine, you will love these games.  We try to have a family game night as often as we can, so I am always on the lookout for games that will be fun for the whole family.

How well do you know your family and friends?  Do you think you know how they would react in specific awkward situations?  Try playing It's Blunderful and find out if you know them as well as you think you do!

It's Blunderful is easy to learn.  It has fun, non offensive, adult related content.  It keeps all players involved during every turn through the act of placing bets on how you think others would react to the specified situation.  Each player has their own betting scorecard which they will use to place their bets.

To play, one player reads the Blunderful card and secretly chooses how they would react.  Then the other players place their bets on which reaction you chose.  Then everyone reveals their answers and the ones who guessed correctly will gain the amount of points that they wagered.  Those who guessed incorrectly will lose the amount of points that they wagered.  The amount of points a player will gain or lose is the amount they chose to use as their wager.  The first person to reach 100 points wins the game.

It's Blunderful is a 4-8 player game and is recommended for ages 17 and over.  The suggested retail price is $24.99 and you can purchase it HERE.

Shuffle Grand Prix is a fast paced, strategic racing card game.  You select your drivers according to their unique abilities to increase your chances of winning.  In the course of the game, you will play cards to slow your opponents while protecting yourself.  The person who travels the furthest by the time the distance cards run out will win.

Shuffle Grand Prix is a fun for the whole family.  It is recommended for ages 13 and over, but I have a 6 year old who is able to play with minimal help.  It is a perfect game for people with a competitive nature and is great practice for strategical thinking.  My family has a blast playing this game.  We even used a black and white dish towel to wave as a checkered flag, just for fun!

This is a 2-4 player game and even though it is recommended for ages 13 and over, my kids (ages 6, 10 and almost 12) had no trouble playing it.  The suggested retail price is $24.99 and you can purchase it HERE.

Exciting Games For Family Fun Night!

North Star Games has provided me with these products for review.

This is the Funky Chicken Card Game.  This is a 3-6 player game and is recommended for age 6 and up.  The game contains 72 cards and a Rule Book stored inside the Funky Chicken shaped pouch.  Kids will have a blast playing this!  To play, deal the cards out to the players.  Then each player turns up his top card and calls out what it says.  If two players have the same action card, then those players must act out the dance action on the card.  They may have to do the Funky Chicken, the Bump, Swing or Spin.  Once they have performed the dance action, they discard their cards.  The player that did not have a matching card must keep his card.  Next all players turn up their top cards again and call out the action.  Anyone with matching cards must perform the action.  You repeat the whole process over and over.  The first player to discard all of their cards wins!  You can purchase the Funky Chicken Card Game for $17.99 HERE.

This is Wits & Wagers Party Edition.  It is a 4+ player game (the number of players is unlimited) and is recommended for ages 8 and up.  The game contains 105 Question Cards, 12 Betting Tokens, 50 Poker Chips, 6 Dry Erase Pens, 6 Dry Erase Player Boards, 1 Elvis Impersonator Board and a Rules Manual.  To play you read one of the fun questions, then everyone writes down their guess for the answer.  Then place your bets on who you think will have the correct or closest answer.  If you are confident you know the answer, bet on yourself.  If you think some one else knows the answer, bet on them.  If you have no idea, just take a wild guess and hope you are lucky!  For larger groups you can use pad and pencil or divide into teams.  We just chose 6 people to answer and the rest of the players placed the wagers.  This is a really fun game for all ages.  We enjoyed it!  You can purchase Wits & Wagers Party Edition for $24.99 HERE.

This is Most Wanted.  It is a 2-8 player game and is recommended for age 10 and up.  The game contains a Scoreboard, 72 Playing Cards, 8 Player Tokens With Standees, 63 Money Bag Tokens, 6 Action Tiles and a Rule Book.  This is a very simple Western Themed game.  You need to be willing to take risks, double cross the other players and be able to run a bluff.  It combines the strategy of a poker game with the thrill of being an outlaw.  Playing the highest card, or being able to successfully bluff with a low one, could mean the difference between a successful train robbery or getting thrown into jail.  You can make a new start by repenting in church or working for bail money.  The first player to reach 13 points claims the honor of being MOST WANTED.  This game is great for large groups because everyone is involved even when it isn't their turn.  With 2 players, the game takes about 15 minutes to play.  With 8 players it takes about 30 minutes to play.  You can purchase Most Wanted for $24.99 HERE.

This game is called Giggle Wiggle.  It is such a cute game!  This is a 2-4 player game and is suitable for ages 4 and up.  You get 28 multi-colored balls, 1 Giggle Wiggle Caterpillar, 1 Giggle Wiggle Base, 1 Sticker Sheet and instructions.  It also requires 3 AA Batteries which are not included. This game is called Jumping Jack.  This is a 2-4 player game and is suitable for ages 4 and up.  It comes with 1 Bunny Hill, 1 Jumping Jack Rabbit, 12 Carrots, 1 Spinner, 4 Baskets and instruction sheet.  Be prepared for lots of laughter and excited screaming if you play this game!  You spin the spinner to see how many carrots you get to pick from the Bunny Hill.  Then pull that many carrots from the hill.  But beware!  One of the carrots will make Jumping jack leap up into the air.  But you have no idea which one until it happens.  To win, you must catch Jack without dropping him.  Alternatively, you can play that any player can catch him.  When my children played this, I was greeted by squeals and laughter every time Jumping Jack leaped into the air.  And cheers or jeers when he was caught or missed.  You can purchase Jumping Jack right now for $18.99 HERE

This game is called Charades For Kids.  It is a 3 or more player game and is suitable for ages 4 and up.  It comes with 150 cards with 450 charades, a sand timer, game die and instructions.  This is a simplified version of the regular Charades game.  What's great about this is that there are 3 levels of clues so all ages can play.  Like in the original Charades game, you act out the clues and the other players try to guess what you are acting out.  It's lots of fun for the whole family.  You can purchase Charades for Kids right now for $5.97 HERE .
Finally we have a game called Color Smash.  This game is for 2 or more players ages 6 and up.  There are 72 cards which are stored in a paint can storage tin.  There are four types of cards:  cards with a splat of color, cards whose word and color match, cards whose word and color do not match and the steal card.  Players take turns flipping up one of their cards onto the middle pile.  When a card is flipped up that has a matching word  and color, be the first one to slap the pile.  The first to slap it gets to take the pile.  If you accidentally slap a card that does not have a matching word and color, you must place 5 cards from your hand under the middle pile.  When a steal card is turned up, the first person to slap it gets to steal 5 collected cards from the player of their choice.  The game ends when all cards have been played or there is only one player left.  To determine the winner, each player counts their collected cards (the ones the got by successfully slapping the pile).  The player with the most collected cards wins.  To me this game is very reminiscent of the classic card game Slap Jack.  It's a lot of fun to play.  You can purchase Color Smash for $5.97 HERE .

Enjoy a family game night with Clack!, Cake Off, Connect the Thoughts and Fruit Punch

Amigo Games has kindly provided me with these games in exchange for an honest review.

This game is called Clack!  It consists of 35 magnetic discs, 1 color die, 1 shape die and illustrated instructions.  The name comes from the sound the discs make when they are stacked.  This is a 2-6 player game and is suitable for ages 5+.  One die has pictures of shapes on it and the other has colors.  To play, you roll the dice to get a color and a shape to search for on the discs.  Then race to grab all of the discs that have that combination of color and shape and stack them up one on top of the other.  In order to win, you must have the highest stack.  Kids love stacking the discs and hearing the Clack!  Clack! retails for $17.99 and you can purchase it HERE

Next we have Fruit Punch.  It has 56 Linen-finish Cards, 1 full sized Banana Squeaker and Illustrated Instructions.  It is a 2-6 player game and is suitable for ages 5+.  The rules of this game are very simple and very easy to learn.  The players flip their card over until someone spots five of the same fruit on the upturned cards.  Then they race to be the first to hit the banana sqeaker so they can collect the cards to win.  My kids really liked this game.  They especially liked racing to hit the banana squeaker.  Fruit Punch retails for $9.99 and you can purchase it HERE

Next we have Cake Off.  It includes 30 linen-finish cards, 4 Washable Stampers, 1 Cake Plate and illustrated instructions.  It is a 3-6 Player game and is suitable for ages 5+. To play, each player chooses a card from their hand and passes it to the next player.  Repeat.  You are trying to get cards that match, giving you 5 of a kind.  When you get 5 of a kind, you get a washable stamp on the back of your hand.  This is a very simple game.  I think children even younger than 5 could easily play it.  Cake Off retails for $12.99 and you can purchase it HERE .

Finally we have Connect The Thoughts.  It includes 80 linen finish cards, 1 bell and illustrated instructions.  There are no "turns" in this game...everyone plays at once.  Players flip over cards searching for matches.  Once they have a line of 5 cards with matches, they ring the bell to win the round.  An alternative way to play is to search for connections instead of matches.  For example, one card has a dog on it and another has a donkey.  These match because they form a connection (they are both animals).  Connect The Thoughts retails for $12.99 and you can purchase it HERE

Amigo Games has given us a copy of Cake Off and Connect The Thoughts to give away to one of our lucky readers.  Stay tuned for the giveaway!  a Rafflecopter giveaway
